How to Wipe or Reset Your Minecraft World

Start fresh with a clean world. Wiping removes the current world data so the server can generate a new one on next start.

Wipe/Reset with One Click

  1. Stop the server.
  2. Open the world management page and choose remove the world folder inside the File Manager.
  3. Confirm the action (this cannot be undone unless you have a backup).
  4. Start the server to generate a new world.

(Optional) Set a World Seed

  1. Open server.properties in File Manager or via SFTP.
  2. Set level-seed=YourSeedHere and save.
  3. Start the server.

Check the Console

  • Watch the Web Console for generation messages and ensure no ERROR lines appear.

Tips

  • Back up first if you might want to return to the old world.
  • Communicate resets with your players to avoid confusion.
