Troubleshooting ARK Mods and Load Order Print

If ARK fails to start after adding mods, or players see mismatched versions, follow these steps to fix common mod issues.

Step 1: Boot Vanilla

1. Open GameUserSettings.ini.
2. Clear the ActiveMods= value.
3. Start the server and confirm it launches cleanly.

Step 2: Add Mods in Batches

Add a few IDs back to ActiveMods, restart, and test each time to isolate a bad mod.

Step 3: Order Matters

Put frameworks and core dependencies first, then dependent mods. Follow author guidance for ordering.

Step 4: Update and Validate

Click Update Server Files to ensure your server has the latest Workshop versions.

Step 5: Check the Console

Open the Web Console and search for red ERROR lines or missing assets.

Notes
